LITTLE FRENCH KEY

Little French Key is about a 40 minute drive from Blue Bahia Resort and is a great day trip to experience a unique combination of animals, pristine beach and beautiful views with full restaurants and bars onsite. Little French Key’s surrounding area was first settled by a Frenchman pirate and was thus called “Frenchman Cay,” which was later abbreviated to French Cay or Key. Little French Key is one of 53 Cays in and around the Bay Islands and it is without a doubt one of the most popular, if not the most popular destination on Roatan. It is certainly a favorite among cruise ship travelers as the cay offers an all in one experience.

ANTHONEY’S KEY DOLPHIN SWIM

Go nose to nose with a Dolphin. Just beyond Spa Baan Suerte is the Roatan Marine Research Center, where you can swim with the dolphins and feel good about doing it! The dolphin program is research-based; these are not dolphins being trained for circus activities. You will not only swim with dolphins but you will learn about their behavior, habitat, and what is being done to increase our understanding of, and how we can better protect these majestic animals. We are happy to make arrangements for your dolphin experience. Anthony’s Key offers an amazing time with Dolphins in a number of different options. All within walking distance of Blue Bahia Resort. You can choose to just watch the show, snorkel with them or our favorite which is the Adventure Swim where you can get to be pulled, pushed through the water and learn signals for the dolphins. Our onsite managers can assist with your booking.

DOLPHIN ACTION SWIM

This 45-minute activity begins with a brief introduction to two of the dolphins. After, you’ll enter the water for a playful swim as well as to experience the thrilling “Foot Push.” This is when the dolphins push you by the feet above and around the water’s surface. This is the best way to fully experience the strength and speed of the dolphins. Then, you’ll go for a gentle ride around the lagoon while holding on to the dorsal fin. This famous “Dorsal Ride” is iconic among our guests and is not to be missed!
